Well, last week's Publix ad had Hunt's Ketchup (24 oz.) and Peter Pan Peanut Butter (13-16 oz.) on sale for BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE. I was able to get rain checks for each of those, so that I could wait for some other coupons to arrive from eBay. Once those coupons arrived...I went to Publix!
The transaction was broken down to:
(10) Peter Pan Peanut Butter - with rain check BOGO $2.89
(10) Hunt's Ketchup - with rain check BOGO $1.85
(10) Duncan Hines Cake Mix - BOGO $1.99
(8) Dial Body Wash - with rain check BOGO $3.91
(2) Pam's Non-Stick Cooking Spray for Grilling - no sale, $3.29
(1) Stonyfield Organic Yogurt, 32 oz. - no sale, $3.59
(5) Silk Almond Milk 8 oz. - no sale, $1
My subtotal was:
$14.45 Peanut Butter (applies to ConAgra rebate)
+$9.25 Ketchup (applies to ConAgra rebate)
+$9.95 Cake Mix
+$15.64 Body Wash
+$6.58 Cooking Spray (applies to ConAgra rebate)
+$3.59 Yogurt
+$5.00 Almond Milk
=$64.46 ($30.28 of which is ConAgra brand products) + tax
I paid with:
(10) $.50 off 1 Peter Pan printable manufacturer's coupon = $5
(3) $1 off 3 Peter Pan Publix's coupon = $3
(5) $1 off 2 Hunt's Ketchup manufacturer's coupon = $5
(3) $1 off 3 Hunt's Ketchup Publix's coupon = $3
(3) Buy 2 Get 1 Free Duncan Hines manufacturer's coupon = $6.57 (coupon deducted $2.19 automatically; it's a mystery, but I'll take it!)
(8) $2 off 1 Dial Body Wash manufacturer's coupon = $16
(2) $1 off 1 Pam's Cooking Spray manufacturer's coupon = $2
(5) $1 off "any" Silk Almond Milk manufacturer's coupon = $5
(1) $5 off $25 purchase Save-a-Lot coupon = $5
(2) $2 OFF $20 JUNE automatic Publix deduction (no idea; it just showed up on my receipt instead of the two $1 off 1 Pam's Cooking Spray Publix coupon that I had handed the cashier; I'm not complaining!) = $4
total coupons = $54.57
cash = $9.89 + $.70 tax = $10.59 out of pocket
Obviously, this was a rather thick stack of coupons. I went to the Melbourne Publix on Babcock and Hibiscus; they tend to have a tad higher prices than the other Publix stores in the area, but their employees are wonderful! The cashier didn't even blink an eye at the amount of coupons, and she went through them in a very swift and organized manner. After looking over my receipt, I verified that she had scanned or entered the correct number of coupons; only the Pam's Cooking Spray Publix coupons didn't quite work as stated (but it gave me an extra $2!). All told, it probably took around 6-7 minutes for my transaction to be completed, and I was walking out the door a happy camper!
And the best part is that I can mail my receipt and the rebate form to ConAgra, and they'll send me back a $20 Publix gift card! That makes my entire trip free, PLUS $9.41 to go towards my NEXT TRIP!
P.S. By the way, the Stonyfield Yogurt has a code on it for points which go toward FREE YOGURT!
